Shadwell Stallion Brochure Prize The Background

The annual Shadwell Stallion Brochure is a key component in the marketing mix of Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. as a stud facility and detailing the individual stallions. The brochure outlines the services of  Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. and each stallion in depth as a racehorse and his current status as a stallion.

The brochure is a highly prestigious item of design and print using the best quality images and reproduction techniques to reflect the quality of stallions as well as the care and services offered by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. Every year 2,500 copies are produced and sent out to owners, breeders, trainers and other members of the bloodstock community.

Over the past  eight years Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. have used an illustration on the front cover and are of a variety of techniques, from eight different artists covering a selection of subject matters. This year it could be your illustration that appears on the front cover.

The Brief

The brief is simple. Create an image that you feel reflects the quality of Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. and their stallions. The image can be of the stud, its facilities, the stallions, mares and foals or anything you feel would befit the front of the Shadwell 2010 Brochure.

The image will need to be of a square format, the actual size of the brochure is 280mm x 280mm, therefore the final piece of Artwork should be no smaller than this to maximise the quality of the final production.

The Prize

In addition to the winning piece of art being printed on the front cover of 2,500 copies of the brochure, there will also be an artist’s profile inside the brochure, with full contact details. The image will also be used on the front of the Shadwell Stud sponsored Middle Park Stakes race card at Newmarket in early October, as well as on the Shadwell Stud website*, as if this wasn’t incentive enough Shadwell Estate Company Ltd. are offering £1000 cash to the winner.
