Workshops
Organising workshops can be a bit daunting due
to the fact that I need to put a programme
together that will be interesting and informative
for all members. We had a successful day in
April where members got to know each other
and we need to build on this to ensure we have
a progressive and vibrant group.
I have lots of ideas for new workshops and have
met several interesting people on my horsey
travels up and down the country who would
willingly offer their expertise to the group.
I have put together a little questionnaire to establish
other artists’ perspective and will willingly consider
all ideas I just need the feedback from you.
Possible thoughts so far are as follows:
Equestrian photographer – who would demonstrate
how to position subjects for effective reference mate-
rial.
Racing stables – contacting a stables who would allow
us access to their stables for a day to produce paint-
ing/reference material for studies.
Dressage – attending affiliated dressage days for
study
Farrier– there is a farrier who regularly attends Penny
Farm in a custom built forge which would provide an
interesting workshop
