The Autumn Workshop will be at Costock Grange Farm between Loughborough and Nottingham. The stud is home to over 100 Section A, B and C Welsh Ponies, so there will be no shortage of models. Tutors will be Judy Boyt for sculpture and Malcolm Coward for painting.

The cost of the workshop will be £40 for painting only, £55 for sculpture (includes  £15 towards the cost of materials). Lunch is included. For those who require it, we can arrange an evening meal/get together in a local pub. For those doing sculpture Judy will provide a 'starter pack' of materials, but if you have your own tools or turntables it would be a big help if you could bring them. Judy's original quote for materials was £25, which the group is subsidising by £10, but she tells me that prices have gone up considerably and her 'starter pack' will in fact cost £30-£35 so we may need to ask sculptors

to pay a little more on the day, but we shall try to keep any price increase as low as possible.  I hope that this isn't too confusing!. Sculpture places are limited to 10 and the course is almost filled, so please book early. I shall keep a reserve list for sculpture in case anyone drops out.  There are plenty of spaces still available for painting. To help Judy plan, please let us know whether you are a novice or an experienced sculptor. It would also be a great help if you could bring your own turntable/tools if you have them.

How to get there: Costock is on the A60 about halfway between Nottingham and Loughborough. Coming from Costock, the stud is half a mile north of the village, on the main road. Look for iron gates beside the road, with a long driveway. - Click here for map
