Theme: Any work depicting the horse, one piece may be horse related
but doesn't necessarily have to have a horse in the picture.
Acceptable Mediums: Oil, Watercolour, Acrylic, Graphite and
Coloured pencil, Pastel, Pen and Ink, Original Handmade Prints, Wood,
Ceramic, Resin and Metal Sculpture. Number of Entries and Fees: Up to six
works may be submitted, which will be exhibited if accepted at the
selection. Artists must be fully paid up members of the SEA. Entry fees
for those not hung will be returned at the end of the exhibition. Entry
fees are £5 per piece.
Framing and Hanging: All entries must be suitably framed and
complete with taut hanging cords or wires. The quality of the frames
should be to a professional standard any buyer would expect if purchasing
work from a commercial gallery. Chipped or damaged frames and glazed work
with unprotected edges will not be accepted.
Labelling: All work must be clearly labelled with the Artist's
name, address and details of the work, to include the title, medium and
price. Sculpture should have a suitable tie on label.
Entry Dates: Completed entry forms and entry fees (cheque made
payable to Society of Equestrian Artists (Yorkshire Region) must be
received by 20th September 2004 to Glynis Mills, 41, Wharfedale
Crescent, Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. LS24 9JH
Sale of Work: All work must be for sale. Please state if you are
entering a sculpture or a print, which is one of a limited edition, and
the number available.
Handing In: Work can be left at the Gallery at any time up until
Sat 2nd October when the selection will take place.
Collection of Unsold Work: Saturday 6th November between 10am
and 4pm. Work left beyond this date may be charged storage.
Pricing: Prices on the entry form should include 33.3%
commission.
Copyright: Copyright remains the property of the artists. Note
all work submitted must be the artists own work and not taken from
photographs or published material, which is not the property of the
artist.
Insurance: Artists are advised to arrange their own insurance
for their work.
