Flora Blackett trained for 4 years at the prestigious Charles H Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy

As well as Portraits, she is a renowned wildlife artist, working from her studios in London and Dumfriesshire on both commissions and her own inspired paintings and drawings. With trips throughout the UK, Europe and Africa, Flora continuously searches for exciting new subjects. She captures at first hand, the animals in their surroundings, studying their movement and natural compositions that they lend, striving to depict both the immediacy and serenity in every scene, from the sporting field, to animals in their natural habitats

Flora has had many highly acclaimed exhibitions throughout the UK and America. Following the success of her 2008 London exhibition she was asked to be the official artist for Holland and Holland

In 2009 Flora was asked to exhibit in Young and Old Masters of the sporting field at James Harvey art, London. This show saw her work hang along side the masters to whom she has drawn much inspiration Sir Alfred Munnings and John Fernley

Commissions include HRH Princess Michael of Kent and her work has been unveiled by Her Majesty the Queen
