Karen is an artist born and working in rural Lincolnshire. Ever since she was a toddler, when she could be found sharing the dog bed with the family Labrador, animals have played an important part in her life. It is unsurprising then that they provide the inspiration for many of her paintings.

Working mainly in watercolour and pastels in a realistic style, she enjoys capturing the personality, mood and movement of the subject as well as the atmosphere of the scene. Her style is characterised by the use of bright colours and strong lighting. Horses are one of her greatest passions and often feature in her work, from fiery Spanish stallions to the elegance of the side-saddle rider.

Karen takes a limited number of commissions and has clients for her work and prints in both the UK and USA. She also exhibits with the Society of Equestrian Artists in London and Obsidian Art, Bucks. A full gallery of prints and original art can be found on her website.
