“I was born and spent my childhood in rural Worcestershire. I now paint from my studio, a converted stable, in the beautiful Hampshire Meon Valley, overlooking the downs, surrounded by abundant animal and plant life, providing a wealth of ready reference for my equine and wildlife paintings”

“My first pony was the subject of my very early equestrian paintings. I progressed on to trained as a teacher in Art and Design and Graphics at Weymouth Collage and later Southampton. Initially I painted in watercolour, but have been increasingly working and experimenting with a variety of media; especially oils, pencil and mixed media. I also enjoy printmaking techniques, particularly etching and wood engraving”

“My time is divided between painting, drawing to commission, and working for exhibition. I exhibit regularly and have had successful exhibitions at Winchester Guild Hall, Forest Arts Centre in New Milton, and regularly show work throughout Hampshire, and have had work displayed in several commercial galleries”

“Amongst my commissions are a set of illustrations for the Royal Geographical Society, and presentation paintings for South West Trains, along with numerous private commissions, for portraits and animal studies, especially equine and canine subjects, in oil, watercolour and pencil”
