Rosemary Sarah Welch SEA – Cuneo Medal Award 2011

Rosemary Sarah Welsh was fortunate to be taught by Leonard Fuller ROI RCA at the famous School of Painting and Drawing in St Ives, and has been an artist all her life. Currently working from her studio in the New Forest, her passion is the heavy horse, often inspired by her own “miniature draft horse” Frank, so named because of his blue eyes.

She is a regular exhibitor with the SEA and welcomes commissions in oils. When asked what winning the medal meant to her she explained. “Winning the Cuneo Medal? Well what greater accolade that to have your peers express their appreciation of your work”
