• Elin Siân was born and raised in the South Wales valleys. Coming from a family with a strong agricultural history she regularly visited farms and country shows, and at the age of six learned to ride the Welsh ponies which feature largely in her work. She gained her first painting commission at the age of eleven, and went on to study graphic design at the University of Glamorgan, where she graduated in 2002
  

• Having alternated between equestrian and artistic careers she later took the road in a converted 1980s Bedford TK lorry, painting the countryside and it’s many and diverse characters as she travelled
  

• Now settled in Monmouthshire with her young family, she paints full time and still rides whenever possible. Elin’s work is held in collections across Europe and the United States
