• Gerry Glinsman has been drawing horses for as long as she can remember
  

• since leaving school she went to Art College at Newton Abbot in Devon, followed by a course in Graphic Design at a London Polytechnic
  

• Returning to Devon, she worked in design, mostly for printing companies, and studied at evening classes for qualifications in Adult Education and Photography
  

• For 10 years she worked for Devon County Council running the Education Film and video Library, whilst drawing animals in pastel and pencil in her spare time. Demand increased for commissioned portraits of horses, dogs and cats and in 1993 she left full time employment and set up her own studio at home
