• Born in Somerset, Heather has had a life-long love of horses and riding. Until a few years ago she was Head of Design at The Body Shop HQ in London. She moved to Epsom Downs, next to the Derby racecourse and decided to change career and concentrate on her painting. She undertakes private commissions, specializing in horses and dogs.
  

• She works from photographs and paints mostly in oil, but also in gouache, pastel, pencil and charcoal, depending upon the client’s preference and which medium best suits the subject. She focuses on capturing a true likeness and reflecting the character of the animal, so the style for portraits is realistic
  

• Portraits range in size from 10" x 8" for just £75, up to 36" x 36". Portraits usually take around two weeks to complete but larger oils will need longer and Christmas is naturally a busy period.
