Judy Boyt MA FRBS SEA
email:judy@judyboyt.com  -  web:www.judyboyt.com

  • Judy has been a Full Member of the Society since 1989 - one of the nation's leading sculptors, she has exhibited all over the world, has examples of her work in private and public collections spanning the globe, and received a number of prestigious awards (such as the British Sporting Trust Award for 'Evocation of Speed' at Epsom and the Royal Society of British Sculptors Medal for 'Rebellion' - seen on the left here). For a fuller list of her achievements, please see her own website.
  • She is meticulous about research: observation through drawing gives her the opportunity to learn the character, movement, rhythm, energy and structure of the subject, before embarking on the 3 dimensional sculpture. To quote Judy "Capturing the living essence and combining it with anatomical study is a challenge, to create a sculpture of power and presence is the reward. To breathe life into the bronze is to create a sculpture of worth."
  • All the time Judy is seeking to push the bounds of creativity and energy into new fields and ventures, sculpting in stone, or working in steel, working with the human form, translating her drawings into permanent graphics of steel silhouettes. She continually expands her working knowledge of her chosen media, pushing it to the limit.
  • Always willing to discuss commissions, she can be contacted via her email address above. More of her work and record of achievements can be found on her own web site (link via the top of this page)
