  • Mary Scott studied drawing, painting and sculpture at Heatherlys School of Art in London during the late 1940s. She likes all three art forms but really prefers sculpture and had one of her early works accepted by the Royal Academy for their Summer Exhibition
  • In the 1950s she also completed many sculpture and painting commissions for Fores Art Gallery in Bond Street mainly for the owners of prize winning and champion horses, dogs and cattle.
  • In recent years she has illustrated books in America, Germany and the United Kindgom together with many further portraits of animals in pencil, pastel, oil, water colours, bronze and silver.
  • Most of her bronze and silver sculptures have very limited editions and she has had many pieces exhibited by the Society of Equestrian Artists over the years. She has also had work accepted at the Mall Galleries in London for the Wild Life Exhibition.
  • More recently Mary Scott has two awards in the Equestrian Art Exhibition, London: Best Piece of Sculpture and year before, Best Runner Up. Also the sculpture prize Winchester Art Exhibition
  • Mary resides near Andover, Hampshire and continues to sculpt. She will accept commission work as her schedule permits
