The Site Content

During the first six months of the site's existence, I have developed it such that it now contains the following areas:
· An Introductory Page with S.E.A. Logo and summary of events to come.
· A Members' Gallery - each member's page showcases 4 or 5 pieces of work and a brief (200 words or so) biography as submitted by the member. To date, only 7 members have submitted material for publication.
· Individual 'Events Pages' (eg Banham Zoo exhibition, and links to maps on how to get there; the Newmarket Exhibition, the Annual Exhibition).
· The November 1999 newletter (in full).
· The Constitution of the S.E.A..
· Membership Application Forms (for mailing to Secretary).
· A 'Whats New' page.
· A Guestbook where visitors can comment on site presentation, layout, content (or whatever else they wish!).

The Future

The site needs to grow or die! More members need to be in the Members' Gallery if the Society is to project an image of a strong and vibrant society with a healthy and diverse membership and a deep and significant reservoir of talent.

To get there the following things need to be done:

· Members need to agree that the website is a good idea

· Members need to commit to getting their 'portfolios' to the webmaster for publication

· Members need to agree on the funding of the site (a £5 increase in membership fees, entitling a member to their own page in the gallery and unlimited updates throughout the year, would more than cover my costs of providing the service)

· All documents published by Society members and executives need to have the web-site address and email address prominently displayed! If we don't all 'push' the site we will convey a message of not really being interested in the site!

· Any documents that are produced that would be of interest to the wider membership or public should be copied to the Webmaster for internet publication - the more content (and the more varied that content is!) the better.
